The Prime Minister of India, on Sunday, attacked the Congress-RJD gathbandhan, raising the mercury in the assembly-bound Bihar. Targeting the INDIA-bloc, he said that the RJD “forced” and “snatched” the Chief Minister’s candidature from Congress, and gave it to Tejashwi Yadav.
PM Modi said that the Congress did not want Tejashwi to be the face of Bihar’s Chief Minister but was forced to accept the decision. Making a sharp statement, he states that the RJD got the post by placing a “katta” on Congress’s head. Previously, during his rally, PM Modi targeted RJD for its Jungle Raj, and once again said that they have learnt these techniques through schooling under Jungle Raj.
He also claimed that such tactics cannot work in Bihar. He targeted the party for its “strong-arm politics” and “hooliganism” during a rally in Bhojpur. News agency ANI quoted from the PM’s speech, where he said that before the nominations were filed, ‘gundagardi’ behind closed doors was happening, where the RJD forced Congress to accept the candidature of Tejashwi Yadav.
He also made claims over sharp divisions between the partners of the alliance, stating that they would break each other’s heads after the elections were over. Highlighting the difference between NDA and the RJD-Congress alliance, he said that NDA represents development and unity, while the RJD-Congress alliance is signified by “katta, grirta, katuta, kusanskar, kushashan, and corruption”.
The Prime Minister also claimed that the bloc was trying to support and allow infiltrators into the state. He further highlighted NDA’s manifesto promises and the new scheme for providing 3,000 rupees to the farmers. The new scheme, ‘Karpuri Thakur Kisan Samman Nidhi’ yojana, aims to provide additional support of 3,000 over the already existing PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
He further said that over 650 crore has already been deposited into the account of farmers in Nawada as the government aims to uplift the vulnerable farmers who have been ignored since Independence. PM Modi also took a jibe at the previous Congress governments in Bihar, accusing them of corruption and also said that during Operation Sindoor, when the nation applauded the anti-terror operations, Congress had sleepless nights.
Bihar is set to begin phase 1 of voting the coming week, where Nitish Kumar is the face of CM for the NDA government, and Tejashwi Yadav stands as the main opponent nominated by the INDIA-bloc.
