Agencies are widening their investigations in the Delhi car blast case, and in another breakthrough, the NIA raided the house of Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay in Shopian. The properties of Amir Rashid and Dr Muzammil Shakeel in Pulwama were also raided.
The Lucknow house of Dr Shaheen Shahid was also raided on Monday. Local police and CRPF were included in the search conducted to unveil the suspected hideouts of the accused involved in the Red Fort blast. Dr Adeel and Jasir Bilal’s Qazigund house was also under the authorities’ radar.
The three individuals have also been arrested for their alleged links with Dr Nabi, who was involved in the Red Fort blast that killed over 15 civilians. Authorities confirmed that they were in search of digital footprints of the accused and tracked any clues related to them. They have also revealed that the financial trails of the accused were also being investigated.
Seven locals from Kashmir have been arrested in the blast case, while the three accused have been sent to the custody of the NIA for 10 days. The NIA conducted searches in several parts of South Kashmir on Monday morning, as part of the operations. The same locations, especially in the valley, have been searched once more by the Special Investigation Agency and the police of Jammu and Kashmir.
The earlier searches were conducted as part of the white collar interstate terror module of Jaish-e-Muhammad, which was expected to be involved in the Delhi car blast case.
