Seven out of nine children in MP’s Chhindwara district died due to poisonous cough syrup as traces of diethylene glycol (DEG) were found in them. The test in Tamil Nadu confirmed the presence of DEG in the syrup, leading to its ban by the Madhya Pradesh government. Along with the cough syrup, other medicines manufactured by Sresan Pharmaceuticals, a Tamil Nadu-based company, have also been banned in the state.
Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have been linked with each other for a long time now. But their impromptu engagement was an unexpected turn of events, leaving fans excited and happy for the couple. Vijay’s team confirmed the news on Saturday, leaving their fans surprised.

Rumours of the couple’s engagement went viral on Friday evening, but they were mainly denied as false until they were confirmed on Saturday. Fans and supporters are pouring in wishes for both individuals. Media reports also suggest that they are set to tie the knot in February next year, but no confirmation on the same has been made by the actors themselves.
The couple has been rumoured to be together since 2018, when they first starred together in the movie “Geetha Govindam”. They have been snapped together at several events, the latest one being the 43rd India Day parade in New York. They were also spotted at the “Bharat Beyond Borders” event. Though they have never accepted anything publicly, both actors hinted that they were committed back in 2024 without naming their partners.
Rashimka Mandanna is getting back-to-back commercial projects, and is set to star in “Thamma” along with Ayushman Khurrana and Nawazuddin Siddiquue, and Paresh Rawal. As per reports, she is also going to be seen along with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in Cocktail 2. Vijay Devarkonda’s latest project is “Kingdom”. While both the actors are going to be seen together in Rahul Sankrityan’s VD14.
