After being hospitalized at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai, the Oscar-winning music composer and songwriter returned home. The singer’s hospitalization was confirmed by his sister via a voice note read, “He experienced slight discomfort and it was later determined that it was caused by dehydration. He has been traveling extensively. He is currently receiving drips (IV fluids) and is doing fine.”
After hearing that the music composer is hospitalized many shared their well-wishes. Chief Minister MK Stalin contacted his doctors to ensure proper care. He also took to social media to inform fans about his health and wrote. “As soon as I heard the news that Isaipuyal AR Rahman had been admitted to the hospital due to ill health, I contacted the doctors and inquired about his health. They said he is fine and will be back home soon”.
AR Rahman has several accolades in his name. From two Grammys to two Academy Awards, a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, and over six National Film awards. Along with India’s third-highest civilian award: Padma Bhushan.
He recently separated from his wife, Saira Banu, in 2024, after a 29-year-long marriage and the couple have three children. Two daughters Khatija Rahman and Raheema Rahman, and a son AR Ameen who also informed the fans about his father’s health via Instagram stories, “To all our dear fans, family, and well-wishers, I sincerely thank you for your love, prayers, and support. My father felt a bit weak due to dehydration hence we went ahead and did some routine tests, but I’m happy to share that he is doing well now. Your kind words and blessings mean a lot to us.
