The Special Investigation Team for investigating the Dharmsthala probe has brought a new turn to the series of events related to the mystery. The whistleblower, who was protected by the authorities and the court, has now been arrested for perjury, and his identity has also been revealed by the authorities. The man who claimed about the rape and mass murders of victims at Dharmsthala has now become the main accused. He was caught lying, and the investigations revealed that the accusations were a controversy planned by a larger group, and the man was just a pawn in the game.
As per the latest reports, the SIT has started investigating the accused, and he has revealed more names, who will also be called for questioning. Talking about the skull produced as evidence in court, the investigating officer denied it being procured from a lab, and said that, though the FSL report is pending, doctors have claimed the skull to be of a 40-year-old. The accused was arrested after he failed to prove the place from where the skull was exhumed. The family of the victims named by the complainant were also questioned and has opposed his claims, leading to further suspicion.

The latest revelations have caused a wave of anger in the state, amidst which the former minister and president of JD(U) State unit, S.R. Mahesh, has asked the government of Karnataka to conduct another probe to find out all the people linked with the conspiracy to bring down the sanctity of Dharmsthala. At a conference in Mysuru, he claimed the involvement of ‘unseen hands’ in the case, and asked the government to start a fresh probe in the case.
