Prasanna Sankar, who hails from India, co-founded Rippling with Parker Conrad and left the company in 2020. According to Forbes, his net worth is $1 billion, most of which is due to his role as the co-founder of the $10 billion company that provides integrated solutions to employee management, including HR, IT, and finance.
Sankar completed his computer science education at NIT Trichy from 2004 to 2008 and was once hailed as the top coder in India by TopCoder and Google Code Jam. He met his wife Dhivya Sashidhar at NIT Trichy and previously worked at Google and Microsoft, after which he co-founded a social networking site called “LikeALittle.”
Sankar’s LinkedIn reveals that he founded a Singapore-based “social network for crypto natives” after leaving Rippling in 2020. He is in the news due to the divorce case going on with his wife, who alleges being “Sexually assaulted”. Prasanna on the other hand has shared a cryptic post on X where he addressed being blackmailed by his wife and being hidden with his 9-year-old son.
He further claimed that his wife had an extramarital affair and asked for extra alimony, but after denying the claims of giving money beyond the settled 9 crore, he was framed of charged with sexual assault.
His wife framed him for being arrested for “prostitution” in San Fransisco, she also claimed he tapped women and did the same with his wife. Noting that he has done the same with her. She counter-claimed that her husband had been threatening their son and herself over a property dispute forcing them to flee to India.
Dhivya who is a US citizen had some serious accusations against Sankar and his family, she wrote, “People say that children grow up in a similar way as their parents. My father-in-law has also indulged in sexual offences. He abused my mother-in-law and chased her away from home. Now I am in need of desperate help from Chennai police. Please help,”
The case has been highly publicised and the Tamil Nadu police are involved in the case. Sankar shared a cryptic post where he said that he is hiding with his son due to the ongoing chase.
He also said that after refusing the alimony his wife abducted their son and fled to the US. “She then proceeded to abduct my child to the US to help with her divorce case. I filed an international child abduction case in the US. And the judge ruled in favour of me and asked to return the child.”
His son, according to his statement has been “voluntarily handed over” to him after signing a Memorandum of Understanding.
He took to X to share screenshots of his wife’s chat with a man as proof of her extra-marital affair.
The dramatic case, where both parties seem to be almost true has made the police threaten Sankar’s close friends, but despite the serious situation he seems to be adamant, “I built an empire from nothing. I can handle this even if a state is on the other side. I’m a survivor, not a victim.”
While the court orders have not been public, social media trials have almost begun with people taking sides via posts. A user says, “I hate it so much every time I see women misusing laws to practically harass men. It feels like laws no longer treat men as people, and it’s heartbreaking to see infidelity and greed becoming so common that people can’t see beyond them,”
