In a shocking incident at a motel in the US, a 50-year old Indian origin man was brutally beheaded in front of his wife and child. Chandramouli Nagamallaiah was attacked on 10th September in the Downtown Suites motel situated on Samuell Boulevard, east of the Downtown in Dallas, during a violent fight.
The culprit is identified as 37-year-old Yordanis Cabos-Martinez, who used to work in the motel. The accused has been arrested and is charged with capital murder as per police reports. Reports suggest that the fight started over using a broken washing machine, and took the life of the man. Nagamallaiah told Martinez and another employee not to use the broken machine while they were cleaning the motel, and the accused was upset as the message was sent to him indirectly through the female colleague.
As per CBS News, the video released from the official affidavit shows Martinez going to another room and taking out the machete, which is used on the victim. An eyewitness revealed that he chased the victim from room 108 to the office. He also said that Nagamallaiah ran to the office where his family was seated, to inform them as soon as possible. Police reported that the family tried to help him multiple times, but they were pushed by the accused, who continued to assault him.
In a gruesome manner, the man continued to assault him until his head was detached from the body, as per the police. The accused was so aggressive that he started kicking his head and finally picked it up and took it to a dumpster. The fire-rescue crew was the first to arrive at the scene and reported that the man was still carrying the machete, which was covered in blood. After which, the police came and arrested him.
Police investigations further showed that Cabos had a criminal history, and he was earlier accused of auto theft in Florida. He accepted the crime and is inside the Dallas County jail.
